The Texas Ramp Project (TRP) is based in Dallas, TX and serves communities throughout most of TX and parts of several surrounding states.  The TRP receives donations and trains project leaders in specific areas like Austin which then identifies project leaders in Communities like Bastrop and Smithville.  In 2014 the First United Church of Smithville became the base for building ramps in this area.

The Dallas office receives a referral/request from the Social Worker for a handicapped resident in the Smithville area.  When that referral comes to the Smithville TRP project leader, Glenn Ginder, the resident is interviewed and Glenn designs a ramp according to TRP specifications.

In the Austin area, all costs for tools and materials are covered by a grant from The St. David's Community Health Foundation.  The Project leader secures a team of about 4-7 volunteers and, on the scheduled date, the team spends about a day in completing the ramp.
